Get Your Employees Ready for Benefits Open Enrollment
It’s time to get your employees ready for open enrollment season! Benefits open enrollment is an important time of year for your company, as it’s when employees get to select the benefits package that best fits their needs. This year, Innoworks open enrollment runs from February 6th through February 17th and includes vision, dental, (medical for qualified employers), and Aflac coverage options. As the employer, it’s important to ensure that your employees have all the information they need to make the best decisions possible.
What is open enrollment?
Benefits open enrollment is a time frame when employees can enroll in, make changes to, or add coverage to their existing benefits plans. This is the only time of the year when employees can make changes or add coverage to their medical (qualified employers only), dental, and vision plans. Employers may also provide additional insurance options such as Aflac during this period. Open enrollment allows employees to review their current benefits plan and make changes or additions that better suit their needs. Missing the open enrollment window would mean employees would have to wait until the next open enrollment period next year in 2024.

How it works:
- Here’s how the process will go:
- Before the open enrollment period (early February), employers will receive communications from the Innoworks HR department about what is offered and how they should share the options with their employees.
- During the open enrollment period, employees review and select the options they’d like to change or add to their suite of benefits to best fit their needs.
- Employers then submit those selections back to Innoworks for implementation.
- All changes will be effective as of March 1, 2023.
